Raised in the South by his disc jockey father and professional vocalist mother, DJ Othello grew up surrounded by the music that shaped his life. After migrating to New York as a teenager, he attended the renowned art school SUNY Purchase, where he began his journey as an artist which led him to spinning music. He quickly became one of Westchester’s best DJs. Othello began to be requested for events in top NYC nightclubs and from there being playing at private and celebrity filled events in New York City.
Othello’s energetic and genuine personality and his exceptional technical skills, makes him a great choice for your event here in NYC or outside the states. Othello’s passions do not stop with spinning music. He balances his musical pursuits with a career in education as a high school English teacher in the heart of the Bronx.
